; Dermot Rigg received his Bachelor of Arts and LL.B. from Baylor University and is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Fort Bend County Bar Association. He is also a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Mr. Rigg is licensed to practice in the State Courts of Texas, the U.S. Southern District of Texas, Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. Court of Claims, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has an AV (highest) rating from Martindale- Hubbell, the nationally recognized attorney rating service. Having practiced law for many years, Mr. Rigg has tried lawsuits and handled appeals in the Texas State and Federal Courts. Prior to entering private solo practice, he served as the principal trial attorney and head of the litigation section for Hoover, Bax & Slovacek in Houston, Texas. He has extensive experience in jury and non-jury trials involving contract, probate, Deceptive Trade Practice Act, personal injury, real estate, family law and construction cases, and years ofÂ mediation and arbitration experience. The Firmâ€™s law practice is focused on three areas: probate and estate planning, business law and real estate and civil litigation. Mr. Rigg has mediated over 200 cases, and handled a number of arbitration proceedings. He trained as a mediator with the Attorney-Mediators Institute, and with the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center in Houston, Texas. He has also served as a commercial arbitrator and a member of the American Arbitration Association.
